The Convention was at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), so a couple of nights we took the train into Birmingham for dinner and sight-seeing. Buses took us from our hotel to and from the NEC.
This is Victoria Square, at the end of a food faire where we ate Indian food, ice cream, candies, cookies - you know - health food.

Birmingham looks really pretty. And how cool that you came upon the Shakespeare production. Perfect. It looks like a really nice trip. I think I would have especially liked the ice cream, candy, etc, part.
